One of the delights of staying at Gladstone Library was that my lovely room was up in the attic and looked over St Deniol’s Church which has a bell peel. Lovely sound to hear amongst the birds and wind. I popped in on our free afternoon and enjoyed the magnificent windows. The stunning stained glass is Burne-Jones and Morris and Co had a hand in designing the angel standing over Mr & Mrs Gladstone asleep.
