Almost the last event of Hogmanay meet some fellow #blogmanay bloggers for a drink at the Monument Bar. Warmed up with a hot drink and admired the skaters. Beautiful moon of Edinburgh but pics did not do justice to it.

Last stop on Scot:lands was the Hebcelt event in McEwan Hall. At this point I was utterly knackered and impressed by the bairns dance off which was taking place in the large central space!

hogmanay2014 148Apart from one dodgy day we have had the most amazingly mild weather over Hogmanay. I snapped this rose on the 5th of January catching up with a friend. We wheeled her cute daughter around the New Town and this was flowering away in Anne St!

I was on my way to watch the outdoor screening but with the weather I decided to swap to the High School venue. When I arrived there found it shut due to high winds so made my way to the Pleasance being an indoor venue. They had a Mull band followed by King Cresote. Playing in the background was a film about Tobermory which made me really nostalgic as it’s where I spent all my childhood summer.
