all hail the mighty purple kale

My health has been a bit rubbish so I’ve been trying to increase my consumption of kale. This amazing specimen from Edinburgh Farmers Market on Castle St . They seem to be edible with bacon lardons and cooked slowly in a iron pot with onion and apple.

    Mm, I love kale. It’s lovely in stir fry with oyster sauce or hoi sin sauce.
