learning to knit or crochet
If you want to learn to knit or crochet a class is a great idea – I think its easier to have the skill passed on but there are handy youtube videos which might be helpful. A craft group is a great place to source someone who might be happy to pass on skills. I go to Grannie Greens in Edinburgh every monday through the winter but check out notice boards, meetup or even Ravelry for local groups.
Much easier to learn when someone shows you. I found this website – http://www.craftyminx.com/crochet-school/ – had very clear instructions when I was making my first set of squares for a cushion cover.
brill! thanks for the link… I want to do a post about how soothing and meditative I find craft. Interesting research out there on it. In the meanwhile gathering supplies so I can crochet on the Edinburgh London train!
